Our Work

At Thelma Ellis Sixteen Foundation, Inc, we are committed to giving every child a fair start in their educational journey. We believe that education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and opening the door to a brighter future. We provide financial scholarships to needy students entering their first year of secondary school, ensuring that financial hardship doesn’t stand in the way of a brighter future.

How We Help

Scholarships for Students

Our flagship program removes financial barriers for bright, needy students seeking quality secondary education. We identify high-potential scholars facing economic hardship and provide comprehensive first-year scholarships covering tuition, uniforms, books, and supplies. By alleviating this burden, we help students begin their academic journey with confidence and focus—honoring Thelma Ellis’s belief in education as the most powerful tool for empowerment and breaking the cycle of poverty.

Support for Schools

We strengthen entire learning ecosystems by partnering directly with primary and infant schools to provide essential resources they lack. Through needs assessments, we donate technology—computers, printers, projectors, and internet systems—as well as fundamental supplies like books, binders, and pens. This comprehensive support helps create more effective, inspiring learning environments for teachers and students alike, amplifying the impact of our scholarships across whole communities.
