Get Involved

Your time and skills are just as valuable as a financial contribution. Here's how you can make a direct difference.

Ways to Help

Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. Whether you're in the USA or anywhere else in the world — there is a role for you.

Scholarship Committee

Help review student applications, conduct interviews, and select scholarship recipients. A few hours per cycle can shape a student's entire future.

Tutoring & Mentorship

Mentor scholarship recipients or provide tutoring sessions in subjects like math, English, science, or computer skills — remotely or in person.

Technology Support

Help set up computers, configure networks, or train teachers and students at our partner schools. IT professionals especially needed.

Fundraising & Events

Organize a fundraiser, host a drive, or help coordinate our annual events. Creative and organized individuals are always welcome.

Supply Drives

Organize a school supply drive in your community — collect pens, notebooks, backpacks, and other essentials for students.

Spread the Word

Share our mission on social media, talk to friends and family, or write about us. Awareness is the first step to lasting impact.

Why Volunteer

Make a Real, Tangible Difference

Volunteering with the Thelma Ellis Sixteen Foundation, Inc. is more than giving time — it's continuing the legacy of Thelma Ellis herself, who spent her life serving others with everything she had.

Our volunteers are the backbone of our operations. From reviewing scholarship applications to setting up computers in remote classrooms, every contribution directly touches the lives of students who deserve a better start.
